Kath is director of EquinePhysioNZ & physio4pets. With her 30+ years as a Human & Veterinary Physiotherapist, she believes in the importance of client/owner education so they understand what the functional problem is, why the treatment has been selected, what we are aiming to achieve & for them to see measurable change.
Her treatment includes full assessment, treatment & an individualised exercise programme that is emailed to the client/owner. She use's a variety of modalities including manual therapy, myofascial release, massage, acupuncture, laser, PEMF, & kinesio-taping.
Kath’s client base includes horses from all disciplines; from ‘happy hackers’ to more competitive focused clients.
She is a Clinical Educator for the PGD & Master's Veterinary Physiotherapy programme, as well as teaches on the residential schools.
Kath's qualifications include;
Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy (MSc Physiotherapy) - University of Liverpool. UK (2020)
Diploma in Equine Acupuncture (Dip Equine Acupuncture) (2008)
Physiotherapy Acupuncturists registered
