Animal Physio is owned & operated by Sarah Massingham.
Sarah qualified as a physiotherapist in 1996, following which she worked in a hospital setting before commencing a career with the Royal Air Force. During that time she gained a Master of Manipulative Physiotherapy. Since then Sarah continued her education;
Master of Science in Veterinary Physiotherapy (MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy) - Royal Veterinary College, London. UK (2005)
She was the prize winner for her research project & was awarded credit for being the highest overall marked student of her year.
Whilst both Master's Degrees provide Sarah with a sound & robust scientific background, she has also studied alternative therapies such as acupuncture, reflexology & viscerofascial therapy.
Sarah's education, knowledge & experience provided the launch pad for her business, in Hawke’s Bay since she emigrated from the UK in 2007.
Sarah works mostly with horses, dogs & people, however she has treated cats, cows & even the iconic kiwi bird! She calls her practice ‘science with intuition’.
