Ashleigh White

CCRT Physiotherapist

Otago Canine Physiotherapy

Service Region: Otago

Born and raised in the deep south of New Zealand on a lifestyle block, Ashleigh has been surrounded by animals for as long as she can remember. This early connection to nature & animals shaped her lifelong passion for movement, wellbeing, & rehabilitation.

Ashleigh obtained a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Otago University in 2016, setting the foundation for her career in helping others move & feel their best. Over the years, she gained extensive experience in musculoskeletal & neurological rehabilitation, chronic pain, concussion management, & strength & conditioning—working closely with humans to restore function, reduce pain, & improve quality of life.

In 2023, Ashleigh's passion for physiotherapy expanded into the canine realm, where she pursued specialized training to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). This journey allowed Ashleigh to combine her love for animals with her clinical expertise, helping dogs recover from injuries, surgeries, & mobility challenges. Whether it’s a family pet, a working dog, or a canine athlete, Ashleigh believes every dog deserves the best possible care to move freely & live comfortably.

Ashleigh takes a holistic, evidence-based approach to rehabilitation, ensuring each dog receives a tailored plan that supports their recovery, strength, & overall wellbeing. Her goal is to help your dog feel their best while also guiding you through the process—because when our dogs move well, we all feel better.

Ashleigh's qualifications include;

  • Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) - Canine Rehabilitation Institute, USA (2023)

  • Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPhys) - Otago University, NZ (2016)
